“Our Risen Savior”… Jesus Christ is truly risen from the dead and he is our living Lord. By his resurrection we are assured we will also rise; the empty tomb sets Christianity apart from every humanly-invented religion. He is our Lord and he is our Savior, the one who rescues us from the curse of sin.

Our program is designed to provide your child with an opportunity to grow, learn, and love in a caring Christian environment. We share God’s love with all children regardless of race, color, or ethnic origin. We welcome children of all faiths, and give them a wonderful understanding of God’s grace. The children are shown how much Jesus loves them each day, and they establish a foundation that stays with them all through their life. At Risen Savior our littlest students learn and grow in the love of our Lord.

Early Childhood Programs:

Our Infant & Toddler Program is for children 6 weeks to 24 months of age. Lessons are designed and focus on the developmental needs of each individual child. Caregivers engage infants in fun experiences that promote the development of language and communication skills, as well as activities that encourages use of both large and fine motor skills. Caregivers teach and use sign language to communicate with the children when reading stories aloud and singing songs. Our toddlers learn hand washing, how to pick up toys and objects they use, as well as sharing with their friends. As toddlers,

they are introduced to the colors and shapes in the world around them.

Our Preschool Program consists of children 2 - 4 years of age. The children in this program start preparing for Kindergarten. Teachers introduce the letters of the alphabet, phonics, math, music, art, and science. Teachers continue to teach and use sign language. Simple Spanish words and phrases are introduced to promote language development. Preschoolers develop social and emotional skills by learning the importance of using manners and sharing their feelings.

FREE VPK Program!

The Voluntary Pre-kindergarten program is free to all four-year-old children. This program is designed to give children a firm foundation before entering Kindergarten. In order to participate, children must be four by September 1st of the current school year and be a Florida resident. Our VPK class offers low student to teacher ratios and a unique and creative lesson plan. This allows

for individualized learning time with the teacher. Lesson plans are

created each week focusing on a specific theme.

We are open Monday - Friday,from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm.

Our VPK program is Monday -Friday from 8:30 – 11:30 AM.

Pastor Gary Held came to Risen Savior in May of 2004. He previously served for four years as pastor in southern Indiana. He is a 2000 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. Pastor Held entered the ministry after an earlier career as a software engineer. He currently co-hosts "Radical Grace Radio" with co-hosts Pastor Greg LeSieur and Matthew Pancake.

The Buildings Arrive!

What a day this was. The first ever "concretables" in Palm Bay Florida arrived by truck to the church thursday morning just before noon. The night before a crane that looked like it could go up about ten stories arrived. Click the image to have a look at this monster.

Pastor Gary told us that they were going to let him run the crane. We told him, "Cool! But remember to put the quarters in the left slot and not the right slot".

Pretty soon, the first truck arrived with the first part of the one of the buildings. There would be six pieces of the main buildings, and at least three others that you'll see in a later picture.

The paper covered the inside of the building so the inside was protected from anything during transit. The most interesting part of the operation was the harness that they brought with them to control the lift of building. It consisted of three girders connected together by cable. A better picture is below. The kids from the school sat outside the main sanctuary and watched. They got a kick out of it.

Then, came time to lift the building up!

This was an amazing sight. All this work would only take them about four hours to do. Truely amazing.

Now, here a funny thing happened. The actually picked up the wrong peace here and set it down so that it was wrong end first. Look at the three pics below.

It's supposed to be rounded at the top, not trapezoid! Doh!

But they got it fixed in the end. Now all we gotta do it... Get the electric hooked up, get the fire alarm installed, water(?), landscaping, supplies, studentededed... or rather, get the students in the new buildings and we're done! Praise God!
